Opening date set for senior living complex

An opening date has been set for a $16 million southwest Cedar Rapids senior living complex.

Bob Sample, president of Stoney Point Meadows, said the 95-room assisted living and memory care facility under construction at 1900 Stoney Point Rd. SW will open April 1.

“We will actually be able to take possession of Stoney Point Meadows at the beginning of March, but we will need the month to bring in furnishings and equipment,” Sample said.

“The rain that we encountered in September caused us some delays, but we feel confident about the April 1 opening date.”
